Stone's a pretty underdeveloped character, so 99% of this is just headcanon I made up to flesh him out a little. ~~there's gonna be a second Sonic movie tho so let's pray he gets some more screentime c':~~ update he got more screentime YEEHAW

rough timeline

born May 31, 1982 in Tripoli, Lebanon
parents and extended family were killed during the Lebanese Civil War (~1989/1990)
sent to live with family friends in the US (1990-1999)
joined the US Army & was deployed in Iraq (1999-2001)
captured as a political prisoner and tortured in Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, under Saddam Hussein's control (2001)
rescued and sent back to the US to recover (2002)
completed Navy SEAL training
was recruited into a top-secret covert ops unit; all data pertaining to this time has been destroyed/redacted
upon Dr. Robotnik's agreement to work with the US government, Stone was specifically selected to work with him due to the agent's calm temperament under pressure
