rough timeline

• born May 31, 1982 in Tripoli, Lebanon
• parents and extended family were killed during the Lebanese Civil War (~1989/1990)
• sent to live with family friends in the US (1990-1999)
• joined the US Army & was deployed in Iraq (1999-2001)
• captured as a political prisoner and tortured in Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, under Saddam Hussein's control (2001)
• rescued and sent back to the US to recover (2002)
• completed Navy SEAL training
• was recruited into a top-secret covert ops unit; all data pertaining to this time has been destroyed/redacted
